After receiving an invitation from Quora, I joined their Partner Program, which was designed to spread Quora, and ask questions on Quora that people would like to have answered. It is challenging in the aspect that I have to ask questions that I believe people want to have answered. it is a new venture for me, and one that I am excited about

As a self employed Product Designer, I design whatever comes to my mind. Primarily it revolves around things that I have used in the past and weren’t so pleasent to use due to bad design. I then try and design them to be better than what they were.

For advancing my passion for Product Design and improving my knowledge on it through some practical experience, I interned at Studio 5B, a leading design firm and think-tank in India. From there I learned from veteran product designers all about product design, and what happened before, in, and after it. As a part for my internship, I also have been assigned a project to complete at the end. A definite eye-opener for me, it is a great experience that I need for my knowledge.
The project I have chosen is to try and find a viable solution for getting rid of physical receipts in India and replacing them with a more modern and environmentally friendly solution. For this, I will be collecting primary data through interviews, brainstorm and prototype an idea, and then present it in a final pitch to the team at Studio 5B at the end. This project will run me through the entire Design Thinking Process, and will familiarise me well for what I will end up doing 10 years down the line.

In this school, I will be doing the IB Diploma Program.
Under the system of the IB program, I will be doing 6 subjects at 2 separate levels- 3 at the Standard Level (150 hours), and 3 at the Higher Level (240 hours). My subjects for:
Higher level are: Physics, History, and Mathematics Applications.
Standard Level are: English, Spanish (Ab Initio), and Visual Arts.
I have chosen these subjects so as to mirror both my choice of higher education (Product Design), and also my interests in terms of subjects. These 2 years will give me a whole lot more than just studies, and I am ready to embark on this new path.

Udemy-Product Design
With my own future and venture in mind, I had done a course on Product Design and Prototyping to aid myself. The course taught me the entire process of designing a product- Designing a rough idea, refining on CAD, prototyping, and manufacturing in bulk. It also walked me through the more intricate details of product design such as material selection, researching, and sketching with detailing. Overall it was a great experience for me, and I shall implement these learnings into my own product design in the future.
